As if he has not conquer the field, building fashion empire, and not mentioned be the cover of every men’s Magazines yet, now David Beckham became the 1st ever Elle UK’s July cover man in the history of the magazine. “He is a national hero,’ claimed ELLE Editor in Chief Lorraine Candy on the reason why the magazine choose the style icon. Maybe it is anticipation for 2012 London Olympic games, but the impact is beyond than we thought for sure.
Put Beckham on the cover of women magazine means the gap between women & mens fashion is one step closer. From global point of view, it is because fashion industry became more and more aware of menswear potential market. For everyday practice, metrosexual is now an odd word to describe men who enjoys fashion as same as sport. Almost every boy or grown up man pay attention to their every day look. They shop for themself, read style magazine, and even share what is brand of the shirt they wearing during football half time.
Fashion could means macho as well. And what would be better to describe fashion & macho other than Beckham himself?
